Sonaco Village Solar Lights Project
Bringing Lights to Sonaco Village – Support Our Solar Project!

The Fula Village of Sonaco faces daily challenges due to limited electricity, impacting safety, education, and community life after dark. To address this, the Roots in Guinea-Bissau Cultural & Development Initiative is launching a project to install 25 solar-powered lights by the end of 2025.

With a goal of raising $2,500, we will cover the costs of purchasing, shipping, and installing the lights, as well as training residents for long-term maintenance. These lights will enhance security, support students needing extended study hours, and improve access to shared spaces at night—all while promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Join us in making a lasting impact! Your support will help create a brighter, safer future for the people in the Village of Sonaco.
